When I was just starting out my career, I was always looking out for ways to have an edge. Of course I always did my research, studied well, and prepared for all the challenges that were laid ahead of me but sometimes being ready was not enough. I noticed that in anything I did successfully, there was a certain X-factor I never took into account. Eventually I would call this certain factor "Luck".

The Roman philosopher Seneca says: "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity." I say however, that we usually seek to be lucky in the wrong things.
